Three has officially announced the Sony Xperia M today. Sporting a dual core 1GHz Krait processor and a gig of RAM seats the device in the midrange category. A 5MP shooter is included, as well as a 4″ screen. The specs sheet may not be all that attractive, but there are some very compelling features of this handset.
The M will sport One-Touch Sharing sharing feature. This promises to make sharing content between your friends and Sony devices nearly effortless. Also included is a customizable notification light. Presumably, the user may change the color to know exactly what kind of notification has been received. Changable back covers will be available as well. These will offer some additional customization options for those who don’t use cases. The Xloud enhancement for audio will be included to give you a bump for music.
This handset won’t be available for order until October 11. It will be eligible for Three’s Pay-As-You-Go rates. 3p a minute, 2p a text and 1p a MB of data for £149.99, with additional add-ons available. All in One 15 will set you back £15, and will get you 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts along with unlimited data for 30 days. All in One 25 offers a similar value at £25. That’ll grant you 500 minutes along with the features of the £15 plan.
If you’re in the market for a mid-ranger on Three, this looks to be an interesting device. If you’re looking for some compelling features that won’t break the bank, be sure to check out the Sony Xperia M.
