HTC have announced their new Sensation handset – the XE. Featuring a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 4.3” touchscreen with a qHD display (540×960) and a 1730mAh battery.

But what about this “BeatsAudio” business? Well, HTC have a partnership with Beats Audio and it ships with a special pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. The headphones feature a remote control that allows the user to skip tracks and receive calls without ever touching the phone. Once they’re plugged in it activates a special Beats-optimised sound profile that, according to HTC, will deliver fuller bass, sharper vocals and broader range.

The HTC Sensation XE is slated to launch this month.
