The powerhouse that is the beast of a Smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S2 has been a huge hit and deservedly so as it’s an awesome device, but what we all want to know now is will their be a successor? – Well it looks like there could well be one soon with these leaks of the SGS3.
Phandroid were given a tip and little information along with a very interesting snap of what is to come.
Now here is what they said.
An anonymous source forwarded a snapshot of a slide supposedly shown as part of an internal presentation on Smartphone evolution to carrier and retail representatives. The slide in particular detailed the progression of Samsung’s Galaxy S line, culminating in an image of and some initial specs for the manufacturer’s next flagship device.
As you can by this very interesting snapshot it states that the Samsung Galaxy SIII Has the following specifications:
- Dual-Core 1.8GHZ Exynos 4212 processor
- 2GB of Ram
- 12MP Camera
- 4.6-Inch Super AMOLED Plus HD Display
The bigger 4.6-Inch Super AMOLED Plus HD would presumably be the same as the one touted in the Nexus Prime and the camera would deploy the W750 BSI CMOS sensor and the phone will feature LTE and NFC support.
As the processor is the newer build of the 4212 type you can check out more details of that here from Land of Droid here - Samsung Unveils its Next High-Performance Application Processor The Exynos 4212.
Remember this is just a rumour and apparently leak, if you look at the picture carefully you can see that the first generation Galaxy S is listed as having a Exynos CPU and other typo’s are visible. This could be a fake? It could well be, but just take it as it is and if you think about it the specifications look pretty likely when you weigh it all up.
