Catch is a free note-taking app designed to make sure you never miss an idea. It lets you capture ideas and discoveries across all your devices and when you’re ready, turn your ideas into action with friends and colleagues using simple, mobile collaboration.
With Google having Google Keep out I’m not so sure if Catch Notes will be able to match it given the amount of resources Google have.
New in this release
What’s in this version:
-
Add a note to Catch directly from Google Now or Google Voice Search by saying “Note to self” followed by whatever text you’d like in your note
-
See the pending (unclaimed) invitees and the ability to resend invitations for shared Spaces
-
Updated the passcode feature to address issues some users have reported
THIS APPLICATION HAS ACCESS TO THE FOLLOWING:
Rather than list all the permissions it is more simple to say Catch Note requires ALL, everything. It’s much easier to give you the link where they explain why ALL the permissions are required. Note that the ‘Read contact data’ permission is there only so you can easily pick email addresses from your existing Contacts list when inviting people to share your spaces. For more information, please read https://catch.com/blog/2012/09/why-do-we-ask-for-permissions/
Cost: Free
Conclusion:
You only have 5 spaces so if you need more then you have to do offers, invite friends or pay. Much simpler than EverNote, yet, it has all the same easy, intuitive key features. It’s much smaller in file size, and, I can use my Google account to sign in.
