In a tweet a few moments ago EE, the sole LTE providers in the UK (currently) announced that they will be doubling speeds in 10 cities this summer.
EE have been heavily criticised by many over their roll out of LTE in the UK, it has come at high costs to the consumer with low data allowances and the speeds have been in the most part slower than what rival network Three is offering with DC-HSPA (aka “H+ 42mb/s”)
This announcement starts to show the true potential of LTE if the below screenshot, also posted in the same tweet is anything to believe.
