Facebook and Facebook Messenger updated in preparation for Home

Facebook and Facebook Messenger have just received an update on the Play Store (as in a few minutes before this was posted) - it may not have populated in all devices yet, but will in a few hours.

Changelog for the Facebook app states “New permissions for Facebook Home” and “Bug fixes”

Changelog for the Messenger app states ” Keep chatting even when you’re using other apps. Just tap the chat head to reply, drag down to close” and “Bug fixes”

Facebook Home, the new home-screen (launcher) from Facebook is due for release later today - exact details of what phones or regions will be supported are still unknown.

Facebook Messenger update gives us access to “chat heads” floating messenger without the need to use Home, this might please some users who didn’t want the whole Home experience.
