The Lexington or Atom Z2420 if we are being specific was just unveiled by Intel at this years CES which is happening right now down in Vegas and this year they are aiming at newer markets. Intel is taking advantage of newly developing markets such as India where the mobile technology is nowhere near as advanced as the US or Europe.
Intel has shown off a device on this platform and it boast a 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 430×320. To go along with the screen we have a 5MP camera that will record in 1080p and 30fps. Future devices under this platform will be produced by Lava, SafariCom, and Acer. Underwhelming it may seem but it’s a step in the correct direction for newer developing markets will be interesting to see if this is a hit or miss.
Side note unrelated to the Lexington platform Intel did mention their first dual core processor, The Clover Trail +.
