AT&T is looking to expand outside the USA by acquiring Iusacell. They are looking to create a wireless network to cover over 400 million subscribers in the USA and Mexico. This number encompasses both personal and business accounts.
This acquisition will set AT&T back $2.5 billion. Iusacell’s network covers more than 70% of Mexicans and AT&T is looking to invest in growing it further. It is postured that there is plenty of room for mobile growth in Mexico making this a good investment in the US carrier’s eyes.
