With every new major device comes an even newer iFixit teardown. The teardowns provide a look inside a device and also act as a semi-guide for wannabe DIY experts when it comes to repairing broken devices (though they recommend that you don’t follow their guides to fix things).
One of the latest guides to hit the popular website is the Nexus 9 by HTC. Before we go into just how it scored I firstly want to apologise for the terrible post title that sounded like Elton John pleading with Kiki Dee not to break his brand new tablet.
So now onto more important things…
The Nexus 9 scored an appalling 3 our of 10 in Repairability rating (with 10 being the easiest). Of course this shouldn’t be a surprise given that the HTC One M7 scored the very worst rating of a 1 and the HTC One M8 scored just 2. On the plus side, this does show that the devices are progressively getting a little easier but they do indeed have a long way to go before hitting that 10 spot.
