Android TV is a competitor to Roku but Google has decided to help its competitor out today. Weird. Roku devices can now access Google play movies and TV shows just by searching Google on the channel store and installing the channel. Roku just became an even more amazing device now that it encompasses both the Google and Amazon video streaming services all in one set top box.
This makes the Roku an even bigger player now in this field that is growing tremendously. I don’t see how Google benefited from doing this but they have decided to go for it anyways. Roku users also benefit because they are going to receive a free copy of the original X-Men when they connect their device.
