Motorola have finally redeemed themselves in my jaded eyes.
After many years of failed promises from Motorola UK in regards to updates, the company has come through with the Moto G. After only a few weeks the 4.4.2 update has come to the UK model.
Having spent a little time today with the new update I can confirm what we all knew, it’s a virtually unchanged version of 4.4.2 with the tiniest of visual tweaks from Motorola. The best of the update lies in the new dialler software, that not only looks much more like the new Holo theme but has that cool way of finding out who a number belongs to while they are calling.
The Moto G is, in my humble opinion, a fantastic device and the update to 4.4.2 cements it as one of the best “value for money” purchases on the market right now and with the forthcoming Moto X release in the UK for the piffiling price of £380, Motorola are firmly on the way to proving themselves once again in the UK and Europe.
