One of the game styles most suited to mobile devices is racing games, the accelerometers make perfect controllers so it is no surprise that there are so many great ones about right now.  Gameloft have just added another to the list in GT Racing 2 which has been released today.

From the short time I have been playing the game it doesn’t seem to offer anything different than hasn’t been done before in the likes of the Real Racing series.  You start with a small hatchback and progress through a series of races and challenges building your personal stats and increasing your level while earning cash to buy upgrades and better vehicles.  As you can see from the screen shots the graphics are fantastic, way beyond games from even a year ago.

GT Racing 2 is a free to play game with Gameloft opting for the ever popular in app purchase model to recoup their development costs and make a profit.  As you can see below there two different in-game currencies, coins and dollars, dollars you can buy and coins you need to earn (dollars can also be earned but at a very slow rate).  Gameloft have also included upgrades that can only be ‘bought’ by successfully getting friends to also download and play the game via social media, or you can use your few dollars to hire friends from Gameloft.
