I love twitter, for me it’s the perfect social network, quick and simple and mostly throw away. The 140 character limit is one of it’s strongest points, but sometimes you just need that little bit more, the ability to resort to cropping wrds 2 ft! Sure we have services like twitlonger, but 90% of time we just ignore them, it’s just too much trouble to click the link.
Step forward Rachid Otsmane (@le3ky) and his wish to use an image instead of a link, and Ken Kyger (@r2Doesinc) to take that wish and make it a reality. The result is Pwiccer, an app that lets you type in your extended tweet and then simply turns it into a screenshot and posts to your twitter account. The app is new, so new it is just hitting the Play Store now, and is obviously very raw. More features are planned in future versions, but for now there is at least a starting point.
